I have actually resorted to driving down to Sebastian munincipal boat ramp to avoid the fights at Jorgensen landing, too many impatient idiots being mouthy. I would be happy if there is a nice ramp that not so many people know about yet.

Another great source for boat ramps is Brevard's new parks website found at http://www.brevardparks.com/boat_fish/index.php.. They just changed their site and their list appears updated.

Being new to the area, I am not always sure of boat ramp locations and/names so this is very helpful to me. Did I see a ramp close to the base of the 192 bridge, perhaps a little south on the inland side? Is that a public ramp?

Do any of the launch areas have a gin pole to assist in raising a sailboat mast? My boat is a 26 ft trailer sailer. I raised and lowered the mast many times at lakes in the midwest without the help of a marina crane or their costly personel. Now that Im living here Id like to get on the water without the huge cost of mast raising.

Does anybody know what's up with the new boat ramp that was to be built this PAST summer in the Grant area??? Jorgenson ramp is a real problem with over crowding and flooded, sanded-in ramps.
