I am a retired Professional Engineer, and so trained I like to quantify things, such as in boating to know where I am, and how shallow the water is under the boat, for I do not wish to get lost or run aground in the Mosquito Lagoon when I fish for REDs and TROUTs .
I recently down sized my boat to a 16 ft Key Largo, Center Console, and started mapping various creeks in the North End of Mosquito Lagoon, between Edgewater/Riverbreeze Boat Ramps on the WEST to JB's Fish Camp and the Boat Ramp in the National Park on the EAST.
I invite any others interested in contributing your knowledge towards this to contact me so we may share and combine data. I have made a very good start but there are many prospective fishing spots I need help in exploring and capturing data on to complete my objectives.
I am using Google Earth on my PC, my Garmin handheld GPS, along with a Humminbird Depth Finder to accomplish my mission.
Thanks for reading and considering this.
